Cougars get ready for UMAC play

The University of Minnesota, Morris volleyball team took two non-conference losses at the St. Catherine Triangular Sept. 20.

This weekend, the Cougars begin Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on the road at Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran.

Dallas 3

UM-Morris 0

The Cougars dropped a match to the University of Dallas 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Natalie Thomas had a double/double for the Cougars with 10 digs and 10 set assists.

Alison Pippo and Tanya Marthaler had four kills apiece.

St. Catherine 3

UM-Morris 1

After dropping the first game 25-14, the Cougars picked up a 25-18 win in game two. However, the host team took control and defeated the Cougars in games three and four by scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Briana Czer led the Cougars with 16 digs and 10 kills.

Colleen Hermes recorded 12 digs and Thomas had 11.

Sam Pfannenstien led the team with 23 set assists.
