UMM Sports Information

After reaching the UMAC Championship last weekend, the University of Minnesota, Morris mens and womens soccer program combined for 18 honors by the conference.

For the women, Ally Heida headlined the Minnesota Morris honorees after being named First Team All-UMAC and Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Carly Denler was named First Team All-UMAC and the Co-Rookie of the Year player. In addition, Rachael Berns, Meaghan Delaney and Emma LaChance were named to the First Team.

Kelsi Kolle was named Second Team All-UMAC.

Morgan Delaney and Kebra Rogers were Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Sarah Timpane was the Cougars representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Seven of the nine All-Conference performers are set to return in 2014.

For the men, head coach Scott Turnbull was named the UMAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars back to the UMAC Championship for the seventh consecutive season.

Ebrima Badgie was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year and named to the First Team for his third straight season.

William Wachutka was also named to the First Team.

Goalkeeper Jacob Borash, Chuck Quiram, Austin Keller and Shingo Tamane were named All-UMAC Second Team.

Quiram was also the Cougars representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Matthew Bennis and Matt Vik were Honorable Mention All-Conference.
