Cougars looking to bounce back in baseball
The University of Minnesota, Morris baseball team is currently looking to rebound after dropping three games to conference powerhouse St. Scholastica.
They return home today (Apr. 10) for a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader with Presentation, ending a six-day, six-game road trip for the Cougars. Then with a few days off, Morris will travel to St. Paul to take on Northwestern on Apr. 13 and 14.
The Cougars need to get back on track in UMAC play and put an end to their current four-game conference losing streak as they try to position themselves for the conference tournament.
The Cougars are 3-16 on the year with a 3-4 record in conference action. Presentation begins the week at 7-14 overall with a 3-4 mark in the UMAC, while Northwestern is 11-9 on the year and 5-1 in conference play.
The Cougars opened the week with a rough sweep at North Central in nonconference action. They first lost 10-8 on a walk-off homerun in the eighth, and then fell 9-3 in the capper.
