Cougars place at Cedar Rapids pool

Kaitlin Kamm and Courtney Kahnk had great days in the pool for the University of Minnesota, Morris swimming team Thursday at Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Kamm took second in the 50-yard free and Kahnk took fourth. 

Kamm took second with a time of 25.02, she got under 25 seconds in the prelims, which was her fastest time of the season. Kahnk took fourth with a time of 25.10. 

The two teamed up with Andlee Quast and Sarah Dens in the 400-yard medley relay to take fifth place with a time of 4:15.29, in their first final of the night session.

After their 50 yard free race, the two teamed up with Dens and Natalie Reynen in the 200-yard free relay taking second with a time of 1:41.39

Kayla Gastecki took 10th in the 200-yard individual medlay in a time of 2:21.28.

The Cougars sit in fourth place with 105 points, just five behind Morningside, going into day two of the meet Friday.
