UMM Sports Information

The University of Minnesota, Morris split a series with Martin Luther on Saturday, April 26, dropping the first contest 8-0, but ending the afternoon on a 11-3 win in game two.

The Cougars will now host M|State Community and Technical College in Morris at 1:30 on Wednesday, April 30 before traveling to Mankato to take on Bethany Lutheran in a tripleheader on May 1.

Martin Luther 8, UM-Morris 0

The Knights showed no mercy, capitalizing on seven Cougar errors and putting up scores in the third, fifth, seventh, and eighth to blank UMM 8-0 in game one on Saturday.

Jake Schmitz, Christian Korlath, and Chandler Erickson combined for the Cougars’ three hits of the game, including a Korlath double.

UM-Morris 11, Martin Luther 3

The Cougars flipped the script in game two, winning the contest 11-3 by capitalizing on eight Knight errors.

Cody Reinke upped his batting average, going 4-for-4 at the plate in game two with a double and RBI.

Kylan Hill was 1-for-4, knocking in two with his single.

Brodie Raymond was credited the win for the Cougars, pitching seven innings. Raymond allowed three earned runs on nine hits. Devin Waldvogel got the save.
