Cougars start with 3-0 win

The University of Minnesota, Morris swept Trinity Bible College Friday in non-conference volleyball action in Ellendale, N.D.

The Cougars opened the 2008 season in three straight sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-13).

Senior Briana Czer (New Ulm) led the team with 11 Kills.

Sophomore Casey Stott (Onamia) had a team-high 12 digs and sophomore Sam Pfannenstein (St. Cloud) added 24 assists.

The Cougars host North Central University and the University of Sioux Falls on Wednesday in the Cougar Triangular.

At 3 p.m. the Cougars take on Sioux Falls, followed by USF against North Central and UMM will take on NCU in the final match.
