Greg Ridout is set to join the men's and women's soccer programs as an assistant coach, and Pat McCabe has already begun duties as the Cougars' new sports information director.

"I am very pleased, and excited to have both Greg and Pat join the staff here at UMM," Fohl said. "With their knowledge and experience, they will be great additions to their teams, and the entire department."

Ridout comes to Morris from the University of Richmond, in Richmond, Va., where he spent last season as an assistant coach with the men's team. While at Richmond, Ridout assisted with all practice planning, and player management, while also assisting in the training of the goalkeepers.

He is a 2007 graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. with a degree in history, and a 2009 graduate of Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. with a Masters of Education. While at Randolph-Macon, Ridout lettered for four years on the pitch, and finished among the team's scoring leaders in each season.

McCabe joins the staff at Minnesota Morris after spending the last year at the Twin Cities campus as an athletic communications assistant. While at Minnesota he worked with the soccer, wrestling and softball teams, handling all sports information and public relations requests for each team. He also maintained the individual sport page on GopherSports.com for each.

Prior to Minnesota, McCabe spent two years as a graduate assistant in the athletic media relations office at St. Cloud State while completing his masters degree in sports management. He is a 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Crookston, where he earned a degree in sport and recreation management, while also lettering for four years as a member of the football team.
