Shortly after 3:30 this morning, Crookston police received a complaint about a reckless river on South Ash who apparently ran into a fence with his Pontiac Grant Prix.

Minutes later, a Polk County Sheriff's deputy tried to stop the vehicle on West Sixth Street. The driver failed to stop and continued on for several blocks until crashing into a power pole at the intersection of Stearns and East Ninth streets.

Tyler Lee, 19, of Crookston, was transported to the RiverView Health Emergency Room for observation. He was released from the hospital later and booked at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston on suspicious of felony pursuit, damage to property and DUI.

Crookston dispatch said residents called about power outages until roughly 8 am.
