Eilert and Dorraine Beyer were among the many guests at the Vernon and Kim Quaal home near Underwood Saturday, July 16 to help Holden celebrate his first birthday.

Eilert and Dorraine Beyer and Duane Beyer visited Saturday at the Ehric and Marie K. Beyer home at Prior Lake to see their new granddaughter, Kilee Rain, and also to visit with Michelle Beyer and Ashley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa who spent the weekend with Ehric and Marie.

Helen Mickelson spent Saturday at the Dale Beierman home in Pierz. On Saturday morning she was among many to attend the baptism for Bradley Beierman at the Catholic Church in Lastrop.

Bradley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Beierman of Brainerd. Helen tells me this is her fifth great-grandchild.

Phyllis Helgerson and Susan Dragovich and A. J. Dragovich spent a few days last week seeing Duluth and the North Shore. They returned home Sunday.

Mae Olson spent Sunday afternoon with Eleanor Gunderson in Kensington.

Mrs. Daryle Toft from Clarkfield visited Saturday afternoon with Edna Dohmstreich.

Holy Communion was held Sunday during services at Trinity Church. In the afternoon a group from Trinity presented Godly Women out of History at Mount Carmel Family Center near Lake Carlos.

North Cyrus

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Logan and family and Betty Anderson and Jennifer Walsh spent Thursday until Sunday of last week at the Bob Logan home in the Wisconsin Dells. They also enjoyed seeing many of the scenic places in the Dells.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bright, Janelle and Mary Bright and Bonnie Hyatt attended the Lynx basketball game at the Target Center Friday.

On Saturday evening a retirement party was held for Anna Halversen at her home in Golden Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bright, Janelle Bright and Bonnie Hyatt, Mrs. Charles Bright and Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bright were among the many to attend this retirement party.

Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Wente enjoyed a picnic supper among others Sunday evening at the Caleb and Wendy Luthi home and saw their latest grandson, Nathan Kolden.

They called on Brianne Wente and Nathan Saturday, June 16, when Kolden was born at the Stevens Community Medical Center. He is the son of Chris Kolden and Brianne Wente.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brandt spent Saturday overnight at the Dustin and Sarah Logan home in Maple Grove. They all attended the antique car show Saturday at the State Fair Grounds in St. Paul.

Marvel Koehntop and Randy Koehntop were among many to attend a cookout Sunday evening at the Bruce Koehntop home.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Estenson spent the weekend of a week ago with Brenda Estenson and Alexandra in Moorhead.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Estenson were among the group from Trinity to help put on the Godly Women presentation Sunday afternoon at Mount Carmel Family Camp near Lake Carlos.

Swan Lake

Ray Strand spent Sunday afternoon home with Mrs. Strand and William and Michael. A friend of Rays, Larry Meier from north St. Paul, also joined them for the afternoon.

Kevin Dickey from Cold Spring and his friend, Samantha from Anoka, spent the weekend at the John Dickey home. Kevin and his friend enjoyed the fishing contest on Pomme de Terre Lake on Saturday. They tell me cash prizes were awarded to many and refreshments served to all. Sounds like a lot of fun!

Debbie Alberts and children of Morris and Brian and Julie McNeill and family of Benson were Sunday afternoon and supper guests at the John McNeill home.
