Dance duet takes first place in Kiwanis Talent Show
MORRIS, Minn. -- A dance duet of Cortney and Cassey Hickman took first place in the first of four weekly Talent Shows, hosted by the Morris Kiwanis. The duo won $75 for their performance.
Singer Riley Gortmonson of Swanville took second place, which earned him $50.
Contortionist Sarah Hoffman placed third and won $25.
All three receive the right to compete at the contest finals in July during Prairie Pioneer Days.
The Kiwanis will host additional competitions on June 13, 20 and 27. First place winners for the balance of the evenings receive $50 and second place finishers receive $25. The third place finishers along with first and second place winners also receive the right to compete at the contest finals, held during Prairie Pioneer Day in July. The winners of the finals in July receive $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place.
