Dittbenner sworn into MPD

New Morris Police Officer Jared Dittbenner took his oath of duty from Morris Mayor Sheldon Giese during Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The council approved hiring Dittbenner as an officer in August. He is the son of Theresa and Jim Dittbenner, of Morris.

John Amundson, chair of the Morris Police Civil Service Commission, state in a letter of recommendation to the council in August that Dittbenner was the commission's top candidate.
