The documentary, "KOOZ" -- the life and early career of major league baseball pitcher Jerry Koosman, will be shown at the Appleton Civic Center on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.
"KOOZ" tells the story of rising Mets pitcher Jerry Koosman's career highlight season with the 1969 New York Mets. Kooz pitched two of the five games in the 1969 World Series and delivered his team to champion status.
This movie unravels the story of Koosman's career, the ups and downs of life as a ballplayer, his outside business ventures, family life and later struggles.
Koosman still holds the Mets' record for games pitched with 376.
This documentary was produced by Jenna Duncan, who also has ties to the Appleton area.
