Domnick is 4-0 in Tiger wrestling matches
The Morris Area/Hancock/Chokio-Alberta wrestling team participated in a triangular at Yellow Medicine East Friday, Jan. 22 and was part of a quadrangular at Minnewaska Area Tuesday.
The tri at Granite Falls featured West Central Conference South teams. Coach Shane Tappe said the wrestlers kept it close against Yellow Medicine East, but ended up suffering a 39-27 loss. Jonny Morehouse, Seth Nelson, Tony Domnick, Eric Goette, Tanner Berning, and Zach Gibson picked up wins for the Tigers.
In their other match against a tough Paynesville team, the Tigers had four wins, losing 46-17. Wins were recorded by Domnick, Goette, Tim Ostby, and Wade Feuchtenberger against the Bulldogs.
On Tuesday, the Tigers joined Minnewaska's scheduled triangular with Holdingford and Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. The Tigers and Lakers needed to make up a dual which had been postponed earleri in the season. While there, they also took on Holdingford. The Tigers had four wins against Holdingford and six versus Minnewaska.
Morehouse, Domnick, and Ostby finished 2-0 and Seth Nelson was 1-0. Goette, Feuchtenberger, Berning, Ryan Beyer, Jeff Knobloch, and Gibson completed the night 1-1.
