Donna Lou Moen, age 79 of Monticello and formerly of St. Cloud, passed away at Sunrise Cottages in Buffalo on Friday June 25, 2010. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
Donna was born on September 19, 1930 in Graceville to Walter and Elsie (Wallotz) Brunkow. She grew up on a farm near Chokio. She graduated from Chokio High School. She was married to Floyd Anderson and the couple had six children. Following Floyd's death, Donna was married to Mark Moen. After retiring from Hennepin County Corrections as a food service manager, she lived in St. Cloud for many years. She had made her home in Monticello for the past year.
She is survived by her children Marcia (Tim) Luedtke of Cutbank, Mont., Mike (Tracy) Anderson of Campbell, Calif., Jeri (Chuck) Nelson of Minneapolis, Janet Anderson of Monticello, Patty (John) Dombovy of Soldotna, Ark.; nine grandchildren; sisters Doris Weiman and LaVonne Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elsie Brunkow; husbands Floyd Anderson and Mark Moen; son Steven Anderson; and sister Lucille Murphy.
