A good crowd attended the St. John's/Kongsvinger Sunday school program. After the program I stopped in to visit Sam and Dorothy Jordheim. They celebrated their silver anniversary in September.

On Dec. 23 I stopped in to visit my aunt Pearl Anderson and wish her a Merry Christmas. Afterwards I also did the same for several other friends in Morris.

On Dec. 24 Jim and Lou Eystad and I attended services at Good Shepherd in Morris. Afterwards they traveled to Herman to attend services at the Eden Reformed Church in Herman while I went to Faith Lutheran Church of Morris for the living nativity service. That evening, we attended the services at St. John's of Donnelly. Kara and Maren Mathis, granddaughters of George and Elaine Harstad provided some special music for the service. I finished the day by attending the late services at First Lutheran Church of Morris.

On Dec. 25 Jim and Lou Eystad and I attended services at Good Shepherd and later the community dinner at First Lutheran. After dinner I traveled to the West Wind Village to wish some of the residents a Merry Christmas. While there I had an opportunity to visit with my former neighbor John Armstrong. In the evening, Jim and Julie Busse of Appleton stopped by for a while.

Verle and Della Dunn entertained members of the Dunn family for supper on Christmas Eve.

One of the nice things about doing this column is that on occasion I hear from somebody with more details on something I wrote. In last week's column I mentioned that Jim Weinreis had stopped by to visit with Wally McCollar and mentioned his daughter had a very popular restaurant in the cities, Carol's in Blaine. I had an e-mail from Ron Holdgrafer from Chicago who said that when Carol was growing up, she spent a lot of time on his farm and was hoping to get to see her, if he gets up this way this summer.

Sam and Dorothy Jordheim traveled to Avon on Dec. 24, first attending services at Bethlehem Lutheran then traveling to their daughter Gail's for supper and gift exchange. They stayed overnight and returned home the next day.

Bonnie Fabian of Hoffman spent some time Saturday afternoon visiting her mother, Pearl A. Anderson, Morris. That evening, Pearl's son Larry Wilke, his wife Peggy and their daughter Kris spent some time visiting her.

Mark and Pam Mathis, and their daughters Kara and Maren spent some time over the weekend visiting her parents George and Elaine Harstad and other family and friends in the area.
