Donnelly News 6-29-13
Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
The big news this week was the storm which hit the area early Friday morning, June 21, bringing with it heavy rains and hurricane force winds, along with lots of thunder and lightning. Most people in the area lost power for a while and lots of branches and trees came down. Many residents are still busy cleaning up. I was fortunate and only had a few branches come down and power was restored by mid-morning on Friday. Needless to say there is a lot of standing water in area fields from that and subsequent rains. Thankfully the weather has calmed down, bringing with it lots of sunshine to dry things out.
