A shot of rain Friday evening and some mild temperatures gave crops a boost. The corn has reached its knee-high status. The grain looks good, but the beans are lagging behind. It rained in Willmar and Barrett, heavy at times, when I was there Saturday but we did not get a drop here. The June weather statistics from the WCROC confirmed what we already knew--the month was colder and drier that normal.
