The Morris Eagles' baseball season ended with a 4-0 loss to the Dumont Saints in the Region 9C Tournament at Madison.
The Eagle bats were silenced by Lee Arvold, a lefty draftee from the Chokio Coyotes.
On the day, Morris had only four hits, two by Dusty Sauter. Ross Haugen and Adam Torkelson recorded the other Eagle hits.
As the starting pitcher, Torkelson tried valiantly to match zeros with Arvold, but battled control problems and surrendered three runs in the fifth inning. The Litchfield native and former Cougar was making his final start as an Eagle as he is moving on to grad school in Colorado.
The Eagles finish with a 16-6 record in a very good campaign. Arvold proved to be their nemesis as he also shut out the squad for six innings in June.
