EMERGENCY ALERT: 9-11 service may be down for some areas

A telecommunications problem in the area may leave some people without 9-11 service for a couple of hours.

Stevens County Emergency Management reports that anyone having difficulty contacting 9-11 should use a cell phone. People also can contact the Sheriff's Office at (320) 208-6500.

The problem also has caused several businesses to shut down operations temporarily.
