Enduro races start out fair grandstand events

The enduro races broke in the grandstand for another season of events at the Stevens County Fair Wednesday.

In the large car division, 18 entries started the 45-minute race.

Race veteran Ron Towner of Herman won the race. Richard Lowry of Holloway came in second, while Doug Kill of Morris placed third.

Seven cars were entered in the small car division, which ran for 30 minutes.

Taylor Kramer of Morris was the winner. Mike Lesmeister of Cyrus took second and Cory Kramer of Kensington came in third.

The ladies had a chance to participate in the action with the powder puff race. Six cars started the race.

Cynthia Lowry of Holloway took first place. Courtney Roeschlein of Elbow Lake finished second and Amy Kill of Morris took third.
