The 68 points was 11 over the team average this season, without a single player scoring in double figures. Chandler Erickson and Tom Holland each had eight points to lead the way.

"The Tigers came out pressing and jumped out to an early 10-0 lead," said coach Mark Torgerson.

By halftime the Tigers led 39-18 on scoring from nine Tiger players including Austin Dierks and Brody Bahr with six points apiece. Bahr's points came on a pair of threes. Riley Arndt, Lincoln Berget, and Logan Manska had five first-half points.

"The Tigers went without the press in the second half and worked hard on their half court man-to-man defense," said Torgerson.

Scoring slowed down for the Tigers and the Eagles in the second half, but the Tigers maintained a 25-point lead for almost the entire second half.

"Playing time was abundant for the Tiger bench and they did not disappoint," added Torgerson. "When Dillon McNally hit an inside basket in the final two minutes it meant every Tiger had scored."

The Tigers took 66 shots for the game, making 27 of them for a 41 percent clip. The Eagles, hampered by 29 turnovers, managed to make just 10 of their 33 shots.

Eric Smith's eight points led the Eagles.

The Tigers outrebounded the Eagles by a 32-20 margin.

The Tigers have the rest of the week off before a non-conference encounter with Sauk Centre next Monday at the Morris Area gym.
