Firearm Safety classes offered in Stevens County
The Minnesota DNR is offering firearms safety class in Stevens County. These classes are offered for persons who have not taken a firearms safety class already. You must be at least 11 years old to take a class. Receiving this safety certification meets your requirement for obtaining a hunting license in Minnesota and other states.
There are two options for taking a firearms safety class and receiving a firearms safety certificate in Stevens County. The online course or the traditional classroom class.
The online course consists of online coursework, a class and a comprehensive field day.
If you wish to take the Online Course: START NOW! You can complete your online course at any time. Go to the Minnesota DNR website, education / safety tab and follow the link to HunterCourse.com. You must have completed the online course and printed your voucher before attending a class and field day.
In Morris, the class will be held on Thursday, April 24 6:30-9 p.m. and the Field Day will be on that following Saturday, April 26th 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The traditional class was offered in Hancock in March. There classes are only offered once per calendar year in Stevens County.
