Firearms Safety Class offered in Morris
A Firearms Safety Class is being offered for youth and adults in Morris this February. Participants must be at least 11 years old to attend the class. Receiving this safety certification meets requirement for obtaining a hunting license in Minnesota and other states.
The firearms safety class will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010. The class will be held at the Morris Area High School Cafeteria in Morris from 7 to 9 p.m. The class consists of five sessions of classroom instruction plus a field day.
The tentative classroom dates are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 9, 11, 16, 18 and 23. The field day date will be announced.
Attendance is mandatory for all class sessions and the field day.
Students are required to bring a blank business size envelope, with postage and a copy of their birth certificate to the first class session.
Pre-registration is not required. Registration and payment for the class will take place the first night of class.
This class is only offered once per calendar year in Morris.
