Firearms Safety classes offered in Stevens County
Firearms Safety Classes will be offered in Stevens County for youth and adults who have not yet received their certification. You must be at least 11 years old to take the classes. Receiving this safety certification meets your requirement for obtaining a hunting license in Minnesota and other states.
You now have two options for taking a firearms safety class.
The On-line Course: consisting of on-line course work, an exam/class, and a comprehensive field day.
Or a Traditional Class: consisting of multiple nights of classroom instruction and a short field day.
The On-line Course: You can complete your on-line course at any time. Go to the Minnesota DNR website, education/safety tab and follow the link to HunterExam.com. You must have completed the on-line course and printed your voucher before attending an exam/class and field day.
In Morris the exam/class will be held on Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m. and the Field Day on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
This exam/class and field day will be limited to the first 50 students.

These classes are offered only once per calendar year in Stevens County.
