Four file for county commissioner races on first day of filing

MORRIS, Minn. - Four men have filed for office in three open races for seats on the Stevens County Board of Commissioners.

Current commissioner Paul Watzke will seek reelection in District 1. Bob Kopitzke of Morris has also filed in District 1.

Incumbent commissioner Ron Staples has filed for office in District 3.

Donny Wohlers, owner of the Old No. 1 Bar and Grill in Morris, has filed for office in District 4 for the seat currently held by Commissioner Larry Sayre. Sayre has announced that he will not seek reelection this year.
