Four individuals will run in special election for Sen. Kubly's seat

St. Paul, Minn. - Four candidates have filed to run in a special election April 10 to fill the term of Sen. Gary Kubly.

Kubly, a DFL Senator from Granite Falls, died earlier this month.

Filing for the current Senate District 20 office began last Thursday and closed last night.

The candidates include Lyle Koenen, DFL-Clara City, John Schultz, DFL- Correll, Leon Greenslit, Independence Party, Olivia and Gregg Kulberg, R-Hector.

Koenen, a DFLer who is currently serving in the House and Schultz, a long-time DFL party activist, will face off in a special primary election March 27.
