Friends of the Wetlands to host two upcoming events

Two opportunities to meet the staff of the Morris Wetland Management District (WMD) and the Friends of the Morris WMD will be offered.

On Thursday, March 15 the Friends of the Morris Wetland Management District will have a meeting at the district headquarters at 7 p.m. The District's Private Lands Biologist will give a presentation on the two Conservation Partners Legacy grants awarded to the Friends for a total of $96,750. Everyone is invited to see before and after photos of the First Grant, and to learn more about what the Friends do.

On Thursday, April 19 the Friends of the Morris Wetland Management District will host a Meet and Greet for the new Assistant Manager of the Wetland Office, Mead Klavetter, at the Common Cup from 3 to 6 p.m. Mead is replacing Frank Durbian, who left in June of 2011. Mead originally hails from southeast Minnesota around the town of Plainview.
