The Gators traveled to ROCORI High School for a triangular on Tuesday.
The Gators came out of the evening in third place with 47 points, ROCORI was second with 82, and Foley won the triangular with 119.
The Junior Varsity finished with 35 points for third place.
The Gators were led by Bridget Opdahl with two firsts in the 50 and 100 free.
Also the 200 Free Relay had a thrilling come-from-behind win. The relay was in third place by 10 yards from the nearest competitor and Opdahl dove and overcame both swimmers after the 25-yard turn and out touched the ROCORI swimmer. Opdahl swam a split of 24.71 on the anchor leg.
Several Gators had improved times:
Ari Maras - 100 and 200 free
Halleigh Thompson - 200 and 500 free
Tristin Heald - 200 IM
Meghan Thoen - 200 IM
Ashlee Boysen - 100 free
Bridgitte Weaver made section times in two new events, the 200 IM and 500 Free.
"We have many Gator swimmers who really came close to qualifying for sections in their events, hopefully in the month of September they can master their goal," said coach Linda Hoffmann.
