Glenice Jeanette Anderson Pieske, 74, of Hancock, Minn. passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. She was born Jan. 20, 1938 in Ames County, Iowa, the daughter of the late Dr. M. K. (Doc) and IG Anderson.
Glenice graduated from Morris High School in Morris, 1956, and Wake Technical Institute, Raleigh, N.C. 1965 Glenice worked at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, N.C. and after 32 years of dedicated service retired to Hancock. Glenice enjoyed traveling and always wanted to take a train across America. Glenice was able to travel to Albany, N.Y. two years ago and had planned on going out west on her next trip. One of her most memorable trips was out west with her Mother IG in the 1980s.
Glenice is survived by three daughters, Wendy (Ronald) O'Neal, Wake Forest, N.C.; Laurie (Pat) Burke, Clayton, N.C.; and Shari Aguillon, Fuquay-Varina; siblings Maxine (Guillermo) Dacumos, Mountain Brook, Ala.; Terry (Bill) Skeen, Mooresville, N.C.; Karen Hardtke, Morris; Malcolm (Jerry) Anderson Jr., Meigs, Ga.; Scott (Teresa) Anderson, Supply, N.C.; Heidi Lane, Roanoke, Va.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Lynette Jean; son James Douglas; sisters Valorie Anderson and Elizabeth Anderson.
Visitation with the family is going to be held at Glenice's house at 178 Hancock Ave, Hancock, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 from 2-4 p.m.
A service is being planned for January in North Carolina.
