Hancock Bits and Pieces
The Hancock Senior Citizen's Club, composed of about 40 members, formed on Feb. 10, 1971. They met twice a month in the old VFW Club. In December 1976, the City of Hancock purchased the old post office/bank building in an auction from Stevens County with the intent to lease it to the Senior Citizen's for a permanent center. At that time the Senior Citizen's requested funding from the Tri-County Older Americans organization.
