Hancock boys lose to Parkers Prairie in OT
The Hancock boys' basketball team made a huge comeback in the second half only to fall in overtime 74-72 to Parkers Prairie on Feb. 6. In the last three seconds of the overtime, Parkers Prairie split two defenders to get a lay-up for the win.
The Owls trailed 41-27 at half-time but flip-flopped those numbers in the second half to send it to overtime tied at 68-68.
Taylor Holleman scored 22 points. Jordan Miller 18 and Collin Cunningham 17 for the Owls. Michells Algarate supplied seven points and captured 11 rebounds.
On Friday night the Owls hosted Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley and defeated them for the second time this year 65-58. Jordan Miller scored 21 points in the Pheasant Conference game. Collin Cunningham added 15 points for the Owls and had two steals. Taylor Holleman had 13 points and Michells Algarate grabbed eight rebounds.
On Saturday, in the first game of a boys' and girls' double header at the University of Minnesota, Morris, the Hancock boys lost to Minnewaska 52-74.
