The Hancock Owls girls' basketball team traveled to Clinton Jan. 25 for Pheasant Conference action against the Wolverines. The Owls won 67-34. The Wolverines played an outstanding first half and are very much improved from the first time the teams met in November.

Hancock's Kendra Schmidgall played the best game of her career scoring 33 points, pulling down 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocked shots, and 2 steals.

Illissa Koehl 10 points, 4 steals

Aria Walstad 7 points, 4 steals

Shae Brown 4 points, 3 steals

Olivia Koehl 3 rebounds, 1 steal

As a team the Owls shot 25/54 (46 per cent) which includes 7 for 18 from beyond the arc. The Owls were 8 for 15 from the free-throw line.

The Owls hosted Ortonville on Feb. 1st and travel to Benson on today, Feb. 3. Hancock improved to 4-0 in the Pheasant Conference and 14-1 overall.
