Hancock girls keep perfect record in Pheasant Conference

On Thursday, Feb. 9, the Hancock girls' basketball team defeated the Ortonville Trojans on the road in Pheasant Conference Action by a score of 67-48.

Shooting percent of threes was 4/7 for 57 percent Overall percent was 25/64 for 39 percent Free-throw percent was 13/19 for 68 percent. Total team turnovers was 25

"The Trojans came out and played with a ton of heart and hustle the first half and only trailed by two points at halftime" said coach Jodi Holleman. "They also hit a trey at the buzzer to gain the momentum."

"The Owls turned up the defensive pressure in the second half, went a perfect 4/4 from beyond the arc, and had success scoring in the paint to gain a comfortable lead midway through the half. The girls did a great job of boxing out with Courtney Greiner pulling down 12 boards, Kendra Schmidgall 11, and Serandon Bigalke 10."

The Owls improve to 16-3 overall and 6-0 in the Pheasant Conference.
