Hancock girls top CMCS 57-42

PRINSBURG -- The Hancock girls' basketball team overcame a three-point halftime deficit and limited Central Minnesota Christian to just 15 second-half points for a 57-42 non-conference win Tuesday.

Only four Owls scored but they didn't need more than that, with Courtney Greiner finishing with 23 and Kendra Schmidgall adding 22.

Greiner also had 12 rebounds and Schmidgall had 8.

For the Bluejays, Jessica De Groot scored 11 points and Heather Blom and Lexi Scott both scored 10.

Scott had 13 rebounds and Blom 12 board and 5 assists.

The Bluejays led 27-24 at half but committed six turnovers early in the second half and the Owls took command.

The Owls improve to 18-3 while CMCS fell to 10-10.
