The Hancock Lady Owls built a 15-point halftime lead and cruised to a 63-43 win over Central Minnesota Christian School at Prinsburg on Jan. 28.

"We finally shot the ball fairly well on the road," said coach Jodi Holleman, whose team hit 23 of 57 field goals. "The girls played with a ton of intensity from start to finish."

Holleman also said she was pleased that the Lady Owls pulled down 39 rebounds. Kendra Schmidgall led the way with 10 boards.

"I was also impressed with Abi Ascheman, who played great defense off the bench, scored a bucket, and pulled down two offensive boards. This was a nice non-conference win for the Lady Owls."
