Hancock graduation this Friday
Fourteen Hancock High School seniors will be receiving their diplomas during commencement exercises on Friday, May 16. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. in the Hancock High School gymnasium.
The Hancock concert band will lead off the program with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” to which the class will enter the gym.
Supt. Jerry Martinson will offer a welcome followed by an invocation.
Student addresses will be given by Taylor Holleman, Samantha Schmidgall and Ross Ascheman. Chad Christianson will be speaking briefly about the class.
Class president Samantha Schmidgall will read the names of the seniors. They will be awarded their diplomas by school board chairman Barry Nelson.
The class motto is “We are the future looking out on the past, We are the present making old things last, We are tomorrow, thinking of yesterday, We are today, doing things our own way.”
Their colors are purple, black and silver. The class flower is the gerber daisy.
