Hancock Jr High football teams split w/BE

Hancock 8th Grade game against B-E saw Brandon-Evansville leading the entire game scoring one touchdown in the first, not converting on their two point conversion starting off with the lead of 6-0. Brandon-Evansville scores again in the 2nd quarter and converted on their two point conversion leading 14-0 at halftime.
Scoring again in the 3rd quarter was Brandon-Evansville who was able to complete another two point conversion to give them a 22-0 lead. Hancock was able to get on the board in the 3rd scoring on a 35 yard touchdown pass by Taylor Holleman converting with Patrick Koehl. The Owls were unsuccessful on their two point conversion attempt. The game ended with B-E winning 22-6.
Defensively Jerrid Jepma had 1 solo and 3 assists, Seth Nelson had 2 solos and 4 assists, Evan Nelson contributed 3 solos, an interception and 4 assists, Micah Baker led the team with 6 solos, 1 sack and 8 assists, Taylor Hollemen had 1 solo and 7 assists, Ross Schema added 5 solos, 1 sack and 4 assists, Patrick Koehl had 3 solos and 4 assists, Jerid Berning contributed 1 assist, Cody Johnson had 2 assists, and Brendan Jensen also had 1 assist. Overall the Owls played good defensively with some great tackles.
Hancock's 7th Grade defeated B-E 18-6. Brandon-Evansville scored first in the game to give them a 6-0 lead. Hancock then answerd back on a 30 yard touchdown pass by Philip Schaefer converting with Anthony Koehl tieing the game at 6-6. Hancock scored again on a 30-yard run by Philip Schaefer to give the Owls the lead 12-6. Hancock was able to score one more time on a 16 yard touchdown pass by Philip Schaefer connecting with Anthony Koehl.
This gave the Owls the win 18-6. Taylor Holleman had 1 assist defensively, Jerid Berning also had 1 assist, Patrick Koehl had 1 solo and 2 assists, Ross Ascheman had 1 solo and 1 assist, Philip Schaefer had 2 solos and 1 assist, Anthony Koehl contributed 2 assists, Caleb Bitter also had 1 assist, Brandon Shaw 1 solo and 1 assist. Will Osterman added 1 solo and 3 assists and Brendan Jensen had 2 assists for the defense.
This game's winners for Hancock Co-op offensive line player goes to Brandon Shaw who did a great job making holes, and the Hancock Co-op defensive line player goes to Will Osterman who led us in tackles in the 7th grade game. Coach Cory Bedel gave offensive player of the game to Anthony Koehl who had 2 receiving touchdowns in the 7th grade game and defensive player to Micah Baker who led the team with 6 solo tackles, 1 sack and 8 assists in the 8th grade game.
