Hockey Day Minnesota is being observed on Saturday, Jan. 21 throughout the state of Minnesota and will be celebrated at the Lee Community Center in Morris, as well.
Hockey events will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Storm Challenge. The Storm Challenge is a skate, pass and score contest sponsored by the varsity boys' hockey team and coach Jim Kennedy. The Challenge is open to all skaters and prizes will be given. Participants should arrive at the rink at 11 a.m.
At 1 p.m the girls' varsity team will take on Worthington, followed by the varsity boys at 3 p.m.
There will be Storm face painting, autographed posters, door prizes, and a hide-the-puck contest held during the day.
T-shirts and sweatshirts will also be available for purchase with proceeds benefitting the Jack Jablonski family.
