Morris Area High School’s 2013 Triple ‘A’ nominees were recognized at a recent girls’ basketball game.
Seniors Katie Holzheimer and Tom Holland have been chosen to represent Morris Area in the program sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League.

Holzheimer is a three-sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, and track & field). She is a member of the National Honor Society, participates in band and art classes, and is regularly named to the A honor roll.
Holland is a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, and baseball.) Hee is a member of the National Honor Society and FFA. He participates in band, choir, and robotics. He is also an A honor roll student. Outside of school activities, Tom is active in New Wine and is an Eagle Scout.
The Triple "A" program was created in 1988 to recognize high school students who excel in the arts, athletics, and the classroom. Seniors who have a "B" or higher grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities are eligible for nomination. Nominations are limited to two qualifying students per school—one male and one female. Triple "A" State Award recipients (four total) will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
