The Tigers are two games back of Sauk Centre in the standings and are 12-7 overall.

“As the song says, if it weren’t for bad luck, we would have no luck at all,” said coach Dale Henrich. “Tracy Meichsner is out for the season due to injury and the Tigers fight on to another victory.

“As we move players to different positions in the absence of Tracy, we were able to get some good looks at the three-point area where Katie Holzheimer made six.”

Holzheimer led the Tigers with 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting from behind the arc.

“We shot well overall, but did a really nice job on the free-throw line,” added Henrich.

The Tigers made 13 of 17 free throws.

“Our turnovers versus our steal ration was in our favor as we made some good decisions.”

The Tigers committed 15 turnovers, while grabbing 17 steals.

“The Tiger defense again played well, but really picked up intensity in the second half.”

Sydney Joos had 14 points and seven rebounds to pace the Lakers.
