Jeff Flaten appointed to Hancock City Council

The February Hancock city council meeting began with two different motions to fill the empty city council seat. The first motion received no second and failed. The second motion, to appoint Jeff Flaten, was seconded and approved by a 4-1 vote. The first motion, made by Mayor Bruce Malo, was for the appointment of Fred Crowell. Malo then voted against the appointment of Flaten.

Following his approval, Flaten was duly sworn in as a member of the city council and will fill a two-year term open when Malo, who was on the council, was elected mayor.
