Jr. High Owls win final game
The Hancock junior high football team won its last game of the season 32-0 over E.C.H.O. Charter.
In the first quarter, Hancock scored on a 50 yard run by Patrick Koehl with the two point conversion unsuccessful. The Owls would strike again in the second quarter on a 40 yard touchdown run by Koehl and again an unsuccessful two point conversion. The Owls scored another 20 yard touchdown pass from Collin Brown to Jerid Berning and with another unsuccessful two point conversion.
The Owls scored one more time before half with a 20 yard pass from Collin Brown to Will Osterman with a successful two point conversion by Collin Brown on a quarterback sneak giving the Owls a 24-0 lead at half.
The final touchdown of the game came in the third quarter with a 55 yard punt return by Koehl followed by a successful two point conversion with Collin Brown connecting to Jerid Berning on a pass giving the Owls the win.
Defensively Brendan Jensen had five solos and two assists, Cole Voorhees two assists, Kayla Crowell one solo and one assist, Will Osterman five solos and two assists, Anthony Koehl one solo and one assist, Brett Kellner one assist, Max Feuchtenber one solo, two assists and one interception, Justin Peterson one assist, Brandon Shaw one solo, one assist and one sack, Justin Miller four solos and one assist, Jerid Berning three solos and one assists, Patrick Koehl five solos, one assist and one interception.
The Owls finished the year with a record of 7-8. Coach Bedel would like to thank the players for their dedication and hard work throughout the year and the team would also like to thank all of the parents and fans for all of their support.
