season opener vs. Wheaton behind Taylor Holleman's complete game shutout in game one.

This was a pitching dual between both teams. The only run came in the bottom of the 3rd inning. With two outs, Patrick Koehl was walked and stole second base followed by Taylor Holleman reaching base on a throwing error scoring Koehl.

Holleman pitched a great game, giving the JV Owls the chance to win with an excellent defense game behind him. Two defensive highlights were Brendan Jensen's great catch in left field in the bottom of the 5th and Philip Schaefer's excellent catch at second base in the 4th inning.

Game 2

Pitching was again the highlight of the night with Philip Schaefer striking out three Warriors and pitching two innings with Jerid Berning pitching one inning and striking out one Warrior in an 8-0 win. The bats came alive in game two with Patrick Koehl reaching 1st on a lead off single in the 1st inning advancing to second on a passed ball and stealing third base. Taylor Holleman then followed with an RBI single scoring Koehl. Holleman eventually stole second base and advanced to third on a passed ball. With one out, Ross Ascheman was walked putting runners on first and third with Philip Schaefer hitting an RBI single scoring Holleman to end the first inning with the score Hancock 2 Wheaton 0. In the bottom of the second, Hancock scored six more runs. Brendan Jensen led off with a solo home run to left field followed by Logan Kisgen's single, with Kisgen stealing second and third, followed by a Patrick Koehl walk. Holleman followed with an RBI single, scoring Kisgen and advancing Koehl to second base. Jerid Berning had an RBI sacrifice hit scoring Koehl, with Holleman at second Ascheman had a sacrifice hit advancing Holleman to third, putting runners on the corners. Ascheman advances to second on a passed ball putting runners on second and third, followed by Schaefer's double with two RBI. Holleman and Ascheman. With two outs Anthony Koehl reached base on an error scoring Schaefer giving the Owls six runs total.
