Killer wins Roy Griak meet

Linda Keller can add Roy Griak Champion to her amazing resume after winning one of the biggest cross country meets in the country with a time of 21:48.55 on Saturday.

Keller's time was almost 15 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher averaging 5:52 per mile. Her time was the second best time including Division II and the 17th best time for any women on Saturday.

The women took 21st overall as a team with Laura Borkenhagen taking 133rd (26:22.2),Rachel Wingenbach taking 140th (26.29.0), Mandy Gehrig 143rd (26:31.5), and Amanda Peters149th (26:37.8). Halee Morris took 157th (27:02.3) and Lanay Walker took 167th (27:24.2 in addition.

 

Running unattached Teja Foy took 298th (28:05.50), Nicole Daziel took 304th (28:11.3), Julie Bonham took 323rd (26:48.00), Anna Peterson took 340th (29.23.75), Natasha Myhal took 361st (30:20.00), and Courtney Dutton took 371st (31:00.70).

 

The men competed in the Gale Woods Invite. Dan Tiernan led the way with a 41st-place finish in a time of 29:16.9. Charlie Abraham took 43rd with a time of 29:30.2. Chamler Combellick took 61st with a time of 30:22.7. Kyle Billett took 67th with a time of 30:46.3. Ian Buck took 78th in a time of 31:44.1. Zach Smith took 87th in a time of 32:49.6.
