Leaders renew debate about renewable fuels
REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. -- The future of renewable fuels is more of the same, but different.
Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson reminded those at Farmfest this week that years ago the Minnesota Legislature voted to mandate that gasoline sold in the state contain 10 percent ethanol, a corn-based fuel that has since expanded nationally.
"Now, we are taking it one step further," the commissioner said.
