Stefan Lemke of Morris competed in the Minnesota Long Course Championships held in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center from July 30 to Aug. 2.
Lemke advanced in the finals in the 50-meter freestyle and finished with a fifth-place time of 25.39. He also finished 13th in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 57.37, 10th place in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:07.72, and 14th place in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:38.79.
Lemke's times in these events also qualified him to swim for Team Minnesota at the Central Zones Championships held at the Hyslop Center at the University of North Dakota held on Aug. 7 to 9.
He advanced to the finals in the 50-meter freestyle and finished with a fifth-place time of 25.33. He advanced to the consolation heats for the 100- and 200-meter freestyle events where he finished with a 10th-place time of 55.90 and a 15th-place time of 2:05.21, respectively. He also swam in the fifth-place 200 freestyle relay which finished with a time of 1:41.85
