Money for political campaigns or college tuition?
There has been a lot of talk by President Obama to tax 'rich' people more, and he may be right.
Last week the president raised over $6 million from folks in California who paid $40,000 each to attend a gala event at the home of George Clooney.
Hmmm: the $6 million dollars would pay the tuition for a year for 600 students at the University of Minnesota, Morris, or just one of the persons who paid $40,000 to attend the event could pay the tuition for a student for four years at UMM.
In all, the president raised $15 million that night, or enough to pay the tuition for a year for nearly every student at UMM.
What do we want: money to campaign or to send a student through college?
