Remember the Good Old Days...
when we settled the West with Peacemakers?
Those old boys kept their traps shut and looked
damn sullen to themselves in the saloon
because they were all fully-armed
and such was the nature of rational discourse
that nobody opened up because
he didn't want his mouth full of lead.
Now we're more liberal and progressive
and carry concealed weapons
so nobody can detect how well protected we are
in the sanctity of our own homes and offices on wheels
no horses in wide open spaces
and everybody but the Sheriff is armed to the teeth
so children can blast away at other children in the dark.
