Red Kettle Campaign benefits community
On behalf of the clients the Salvation Army will be able to serve, I would like to thank the community for their support. We raised over $18,000 during our Christmas Kettle Campaign.
More than 34 individuals and 19 different groups rang bells to make this possible. Their contributions are a shining example of the true spirit of Christmas.
To everyone who supported our Christmas Kettle effort, please know how valuable your contributions are.
Thank you very much for your ongoing support.
Verna Zeiher, Chairperson, Stevens County Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign
Community Christmas dinner a success
Thanks to a wonderful group of volunteers, the Community Christmas Dinner was a success. We served about 190 people and had very little food left over. All of our guests were feeling the Christmas cheer. There was a lot of visiting and people meeting old friends that they seldom see. I did not hear a single negative word! What a wonderful day it was.
Thank you to everyone who donated food, money or time. You are teriffic. Thank you also to First Lutheran Church for hosting the dinner.
Pat Mumm, Morris, Minn.
