Life Link III flys to Morris for training
On Monday, July 21, over 50 members from the Morris Fire Department, Stevens County Sheriffs Department, Stevens County First Responders and Ambulance service, Morris Police Department, Donnelly Fire and First Responders, Chokio Fire and First Responders, and the University of Minnesota, Morris police gathered at the Morris Fire Hall for Life Link classroom training. Afterward, they all ventured to the field near Morris Area High School for helicopter landing training (LZ training) for a chance to get up close and personal with the new Life Link III helicopter and its pilots.
Life Link III is an ambulance service that has been providing safe and effective air medical transport via helicopter or airplane for patients in Minnesota, Wisconsin and throughout the United States since 1974. The helicopter that visited Morris on Monday was from the Willmar base, one of five helicopter bases Life Link III has throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
